Kimberly McDonnell is a junior at James Madison University pursuing a major in the School of Media Arts and Design with a concentration in Creative Advertising and a minor in Music and Human Services. She is a member of one of the University’s all-female a cappella groups, The BluesTones, and has gained knowledge and experience with multiple social media platforms as well as with design and promotion, acting as their Public Relations chair. She thoroughly enjoys opportunities to meet and talk to new people to broaden her connections and looks at every opportunity with high hopes to learn something new. You can find Kimberly singing around campus and the Harrisonburg community, running around campus catching up with friends, or curled up in bed reading a cheesy love story.

Hayleigh Walton is a junior in the School of Media Arts and Design major at James Madison University. She is concentrating in Creative Advertising and minoring in Studio Art and Spanish. Hayleigh is most passionate about graphic design and web design, and has been able to explore these interests within her classes at JMU and Intervarsity Christian Fellowship group. She is recently worked as head of the design committee for Intervarsity’s 2017 Women’s Conference. She has always loved YouTube and had her own channel in high school for fashion and beauty tips. When she is not designing, she is most likely sketching, hand-lettering, or in the kitchen trying out a new recipe. She created all the graphics on this site.

Angelika Johns is a sophomore in the School of Media Arts and Design major at James Madison University. She is concentrating is Creative Advertising and minoring in studio art. Angelika is most passionate about working with people, photography, and design, and has been able to pursue her interests through her photography business, classes at JMU, and through organizations she’s involved in like SafeRides, VSA, and JMU’s Society of Entrepreneurs (SOE). She is currently head of internal communications in JMU’s SOE, in which she manages communication between all members, leads new member recruitment, runs all social media, creates all PR graphics, and leads the Public Relations Committee. Last summer, her photography brought her to LA to shoot several fashion sessions and actresses, and she one day hopes to continue her business there on the west coast. Besides photography, design, and getting involved in her other organizations, Angelika loves attempting new recipes, adding to her sketchbook full of watercolor paintings and graphite drawings, and catching up with friends or the latest news stories and podcasts. Angelika uses YouTube weekly to learn new recipes, watch vlogs, or learn new tips in photography. As photographer and web designer, Angelika took headshots of all the group members to create a cohesive looking page. Additionally, Angelika helped lead the design of the website, various pages, and assisted all members with understanding how to use WordPress, as she has successfully run two WordPress blogs.

Madison Spears is a junior at James Madison University and is studying Media Arts and Design with a concentration in Creative Advertising. She is passionate about writing and is specifically ardent about poetry. Madison loves to talk and make new connections. She also enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and watching movies. In her free time, she is probably studying, reading a Buzzfeed article, or editing her most recently written story. Madison uses YouTube daily to view video blogs and music videos. As a copy editor, she edited every post on this website for grammar, content and sentence structure.

Nikki is a junior who just transferred to James Madison University in the fall semester of 2016. She is majoring in the School of Media Arts & Design with a concentration in Creative Advertising and has a minor in Communication Studies. Nikki loves to get creative with her writing skills and naturally has an eye for editing written work. Because she transferred, she has had many experiences that most JMU students have not had and finds joy in connecting that aspect of her life with her time at the university now. She currently leads JMU’s Hospitality Team of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship with two co-leaders. She is also a member of the school’s Orientation Team holding a Transfer Orientation Peer Advisor position to guide incoming transfer students at JMU. Nikki has a drive for connecting with people and spends most of her free time deepening those relationships. She consistently uses YouTube to watch music videos and discover lifestyle tips.
